Description

With its unfinished, neutral design, the 18mm Oak Brushed UV Oiled Engineered Wood flooring is suitable for any home. Nature grade materials ensure the floor is left with minimum imperfections, creating a smoother, more uniformed finish. It’s one of the few floors in the collection to feature a transparent UV oiled surface. This doesn’t just protect it from scuffs, but it also ensures the wood doesn’t fade when exposed to sunlight. The floor’s incredible 18mm depth comes with a 5mm wear layer. This makes it exceptionally durable and capable of withstanding high foot traffic. You can tell how great the quality and design of this floor is thanks to its 25-year guarantee. You’ll find it easier than expected to install due to the tongue and groove system. However, we do have full instructions in a free, downloadable PDF guide. To find out if the 18mm Oak Brushed UV Oiled Engineered Wood flooring is right for your home, request a free sample today.

How to Measure Your Room

  • First you will need a tape measure, note book and a pen. Always use a good tape measure that is easy to read and measure twice as a double check to safeguard against any mistakes.
  • You must establish which are the widest and the longest parts of the room. This should also include any bay windows, alcoves, entrances or exits from the room.
  • A quick tip, you should always measure from the middle of the door frame and not skirting to skirting and always allow a little more in case your room is not square.
  • When you have taken all the measurements that are required (meters not imperial) simply multiply them together to give the square meters. If there are more than two areas to measure in the room follow the same procedure and then add them together.
  • Once all your measurements have been taken and are converted into square meters it is advisable to add 10% not just for cutting or miss measurements but also any damage is caused after installation. In the case of real wood flooring there maybe planks that are not to your liking and you may wish not to install these.
